It seems that Canadians continue to do better than their southern neighbours when it comes to housing wealth. This has been a trend for the last two decades or so.
Canada’s three largest metro areas — Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver — were compared to four similar U.S. cities: New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle.
The conclusion was that even the weakest of the Canadian markets beat the strongest of the U.S. markets on house price growth since January, 2001.
